Before we departed Amboise, our neighbors had a couple of "aperitif" parties. It started with a garden party next door.
Stopping by the post office, we spotted two horses tied up outside on a busy street. Now that's something you don't see at the Birmingham post office.
Another neighbor, Monique had an aperitif gathering. These events last for 3 hours or more, and there are a myriad of platters.
Coco caught these little Loire fish that day and brought them along after sautéing
Life is complicated everywhere. Our dear friend Christine lost her dynamic husband Philippe to illness recently. She came over for dinner with her daughter and son-in-law.
We attended the wedding of Angéline and Mathieu last year (documented in an earlier post). Now they are expecting the birth of Celeste.
Florence and Antoine joined us as well. They have a lovely estate, Belle Roche, which is now a B&B that Florence runs. Antoine is a vet who thinks Lola is doing well for her age (almost 16).
