Retourner

Our main focus while in Michigan was completing the gazebo in Mary Kay Davis Park (named for Ron's mother in 1999) in tribute to Rachel Jacobs.  The park is right near Gilda and John's home.  Gilda officiated at the dedication ceremony in 1999, knew Ron's parents, and met Ron at that time.

Upon our return to Amboise, Lotte and Alexis picked us up at the train station.

AirBnB selected their cave home as one of the most intriguing of all in the world.

Christiane and Franco invited us over for an Italian meal.  Franco is from Tuscany and makes his own pasta.  He promised to teach Barbara how to do it!

Then our neighbor Coco, who loves to fish in the river, came by with a plate filled with friture de la Cher (fried fish from the river Cher).

Finally, Gabrielle and Charles invited us to a terrific joyful party for FĂȘte des Crepes, which was just before Lent.  20 guests from the neighborhood partook of the enticing offerings.

Enthusiastic Gabrielle

Charles has a joie de vivre beyond compare (a retired Air France pilot)

A plethora of appetizers

In addition to the culinary offerings, we all sang to the music
