Christiane's family has owned the renowned chocolatier Bigot since 1913 (Gayle - you have a ways to go yet).
They know the proprietors of the restaurant very well indeed, as evidenced by the service we received.
A surprise guest to the festivities was Jean Louis, the executive director of the Chateau Amboise.
They arranged a private dining room, and we dove into the amuse bouche - each of us had a full platter of them.
